Boats.com, the most comprehensive marine site in the world offering more than 650,000 new and used boat listings for sale, announced today the appointment of former LaserPerformance Marketing Manager, Katie Ashworth, as Sales and Account Manager effective immediately.

Ashworth spent five years as sailing manager at the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble after graduating with Honors in Maritime Leisure Management from Southampton Institute. She spent a number of years working in the event management field in the powerboat racing circuit where she successfully delivered contracts on a regional, national and international level at events hosted by the world’s largest manufacturer of sail boats. And most recently, Ashworth’s career in the marine industry flourished as European Marketing Manager at LaserPerformance.
Commenting upon her appointment to Boats.com, Ashworth said, “I’m looking forward to taking on the new challenge of Boats.com, as well as the new product development for BoatsPOD in the UK. The newly launched Boats.com website provides us with a great platform to expand our business in Europe.”
Ashworth will be attending the London International Boat Show where Boats.com is the premier sponsor of the Boardwalk; she will be promoting the newly launched uk.boats.com, among others.
