Boats Group is dedicated to making BoatWizard tools more intuitive, robust, and easy to use

Earlier this year, Boats Group debuted the first of a series of updates to its BoatWizard platform, which most notably houses the marine industry’s largest MLS and the soldboats database. The recent improvements to the platform’s user interface paved the way for additional upgrades in other areas, and today, BoatWizard unveiled an enhanced suite of brochure templates and a simplified way to customize and print MLS listings.

“Our priority is delivering technology that brokers need to serve their clients and close deals with fellow brokers, so we developed a diverse Power User forum to obtain direct feedback about the performance of BoatWizard from the people who use it day-in and day-out,” said Sam Peterson, Boats Group’s CTO. “Takeaways from the group have given our product development team the insight necessary to design solutions that streamline the backend experience. As a result, the newly-launched brochure suite is straightforward and easy for all levels of users to navigate.”

As brokers look for new ways to deliver a positive experience for both buyers and sellers, BoatWizard now offers eight fresh, quickly-customizable brochure templates from which to choose. According to Boats Group, the new brochure suite is already earning applause from brokers because it makes organizing multiple listings and selecting specific photos easy to do.

BoatWizard 3.0 New MLS Brochure Suite Features:

  • Brochure layout preview – View and select from a variety of brochure templates
  • Customizable options and detail settings – Specify the office location and listing contact; customize design elements, including header logo, footer information, and broker headshot; select desired photos and edit image order
  • Deploy a QR code – Send listings with broker’s contact information directly to customers’ phones
  • Simple sharing – Print and email the PDF brochures directly from the MLS

Modernizing the BoatWizard MLS, which began launching in January, has involved a complete front-end redesign and full optimization of the backend. Multifaceted search now allows the selection of multiple options within various search fields to happen simultaneously, and search results refresh as vessel criteria change. Customized default search settings can also be saved to make frequent monitoring easy.

Additional updates launching this summer further complement the brochure suite offerings and the entire BoatWizard 3.0 user experience, including emails with PDF brochure attachments and carbon copy capability, as well as optimized boat detail pages.
