Just released, the 2016 Q1 YachtWorld Market Index provides detailed sales figures for the most recent quarter, both in the U.S. and Europe. In global terms, the market has softened, declining by ten boats in terms of volume but by $81 million in total price paid.
This edition drills down into the sales data for the top brands in the most popular boat classes. With encouragement from several readers, we went deeper into our database, and now offer information on more classes and more brands than ever before.
In a special report, the Index explores the archives of SoldBoats, the proprietary database of YachtWorld member brokers for many years, and looks at which classes of boats sold best in early years compared to 2015. The results reveal the shifting nature of the marketplace, as well as what’s available in brokerage inventory.
