Norfolk, VA – (December 13, 2011) –Boats Group (Boats Group), the division of Dominion Enterprises that operates, and, today announced that Daniel Belton has been appointed global business development director.

Belton, a lifelong sailor, joins the company after holding senior sales and marketing directorships in both the marine and technology industries.  He will be responsible for managing sales strategy in North America and Europe to grow revenue and build new business.  Another part of Belton’s role will be the development of strategic sales initiatives on a global level that strengthen Boats Group’s position within the marine industry.

Prior to joining Boats Group, Belton spent 6 years as a senior director at Intel Corporation in the United Kingdom.  His career includes experience as a professional sailboat racing captain; 4 years as sales manager at Ancasta, Europe’s largest yacht brokerage and boat dealership; and sales and marketing director for Hugh Symons, a substantial, family-owned mobile communications company.  Belton’s deep experience is backed by a MBA.
