Boat Trader Wins Viddy Award for ‘Stomping Grounds’ Episode

Stomping Grounds by Boat Trader was named a winner in the 2022 Viddy Awards for its outstanding video creative in the Culture and Lifestyle category for Long Form Videos. The series received a Gold award for its second episode which explores boat culture in Florida’s Panhandle region, from the Emerald Coast to The Big Bend and the Forgotten Coast. The winning episode also features country music star Brian Kelley and invites viewers aboard his vessel the ‘Brittney Marie’, named after his wife, for a look at the couple’s stomping grounds.

Each episode of the Stomping Grounds video series takes a documentary-style approach to exploring a new geographic locale, delving deeply into the local boating styles, traditions and stories that are unique to the area. Host Ryan McVinney interviews boaters about their local culture, history and the types of vessels that they use, exploring what key features make them the ideal watercraft for their purposes.

 

Viddy entries come from video production companies, cable and broadcast television operations, advertising, design, digital, and public relations firms, corporate communication departments, and individuals. Entrants include videographers, cinematographers, writers, editors, directors, producers, digital artists, influencers, account executives, and other creatives.

 

Viddy Awards is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization oversees awards and recognition programs and honors outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
