YachtWorld Continues to Improve its Customers’ Experience with New Sales and Marketing Appointments

New team appointed to help drive customers’ growth potential

Norfolk, VA – (June 27, 2015) — YachtWorld, the largest worldwide database of brokerage boats, has announced the appointment of three new sales and marketing team members at its headquarters in Norfolk, Va. This further strengthens its ability to support its customers’ growth and market accessibility around the world.

Experienced marine professional John Souch will add director of sales for YachtWorld to his expanding role at Boats Group (Boats Group). His success across the company’s multiple brands and past experience as sales manager in the largest U.S. market of South Florida make his appointment an important step in building even stronger customer relationships and driving further awareness of the YachtWorld brand to new and existing boat buyers. John will lead a team of regional sales managers working to drive customers’ market penetration, awareness and sales.

Katy Judge joins the YachtWorld team as brand manager. She will be responsible for building awareness of the brand internationally and growing the web portal’s international reach, giving customers even more access to new and developing markets. Katy will manage brand strategy for YachtWorld and provide marketing-driven sales support across the U.S. and Europe.

Katy’s experience in the boating industry includes brand management for Boat Trader, where she was instrumental in the website redesign, new product roll-outs and launching customer education initiatives. Katy has managed marketing efforts that increase brand awareness and consumer engagement, a primary focus for YachtWorld. Katy will report to Vice President of Marketing Courtney Chalmers.

Commenting on the three appointments, Ian Atkins, president of Boats Group, said: “This is a significant new team for YachtWorld, demonstrating our commitment to expanding our reach in the marine sector across the U.S. and Europe. With a track record of building and developing customer relationships and driving sales, John and Katy bring a wealth of valuable expertise to our business. The YachtWorld team can now better enable customers to take advantage of the sustained growth we are seeing in the marine industry globally.”
